Following the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, we’ve seen plenty of mods for the console, though the Gamifries McDonald’s Fries holder is one of the most eye-catching ones.
To be exact, the Gamifries 3D print mod is a fries holder designed to accommodate a medium-sized McDonald’s fries box, all while allowing Switch 2 owners to play games. This mod is designed by fan-artist 7R135, and it essentially functions like a Joy-Con 2 grip, just with a fries holder in the middle.

Given that it’s a mod, this item isn’t exactly piece of McDonald’s merch. Interestingly, it does feature a cutout at the front, showcasing the iconic golden arches.
What’s more interesting is the fact that it can be used in Handheld + Controller Mode. How it works is that you can attach it via magnets to the side of the Switch 2, and then attach the other Joy-Con 2 to the side.
Note that this is not being sold officially. Instead, you can download the design on MakerWorld and have it 3D printed. Note that, for full dual-mode use, you’ll need to print two adapter parts (the GAMIFRIES-ADAPTER-SCREEN-TO-RIG and GAMIFRIES-ADAPTER-SCREEN-TO-CONTROLLER files) and install 24 small 25x5x3mm-sized magnets.
Of course, if you’re sticking to Controller Mode, you can simply print the GamiFries Body file and use 4–8 magnets.
We’re not exactly sure how practical it is (not to mention that you might get grease all over your Switch 2 if you eat fries while playing), but it’s a fun and rather funny mod. As we don’t have a 3D printer, we can’t exactly say how well it works in practice. Still, it might be a fun project to try out for Switch 2 owners who have a 3D printer, or have a friend that owns one.
