gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 Day 2 Recap: Consumer area opens with big gaming booths

Day 2 saw the consumer area open, featuring big booths with demos of some highly anticipated titles!

Day 2 of gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 was a big one, as it featured the opening of the event’s big consumer area. While the event began yesterday with the opening of the business area, the first day was more of an industry affair. For Day 2, the event finally opened its doors to gamers in Bangkok, and it was definitely a delight, given the various booths.

At the start of Day 2, we saw the big opening ceremony at the event’s main stage. This ceremony featured various guests, including speakers from the first day.

After this, we finally got to go around the consumer area. Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of big booths from major publishers at Thailand Game Show, and this year’s event is no exception. The publishers that joined the event include Bandai Namco Entertainment, Capcom, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, SEGA (via Epicsoft) and many more.

At the booths, visitors could try out some game demos for newly launched and upcoming titles. Plus, some booths also featured a wide selection of merch available for purchase. Even though the second day happened on a weekday, plenty of visitors had already flocked to the event. Thus, we expect to see even more people during the weekend.

Of course, while the consumer area was the highlight for attendees, the event also featured some other notable highlights, including:

  • Dead Space and Call of Duty creator Glenn Schofield received a Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring his impact in the industry.
  • A live panel with the cast and creators of Island of Hearts, 4Divinity’s latest venture with Titan Media, offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the new IP.
  • The Pitch Competition wrapped with MVRX Games (Sweden) winning Best Visual for Dew, Kotakoren Games (Malaysia) taking Best Game Design for Of Blood and Descend, and Mudtek (USA) earning Most Anticipated Game for Dimraeth.
  • Meghan Morgan Juinio (formerly Santa Monica Studio) and Fleur Marty (Gearbox) led a candid session on women shaping AAA games on the conference stage.
  • Danny Koo (Marvel Games) announced Marvel Zombies, the game’s first ever PvE mode, will launch globally on October 23.
