Ghost of Tsushima is finally available again on Steam in the Philippines

Great news for Pinoy PC players!

After most of PlayStation Studios’ games were made available again back in June, the Ghost of Tsushima region lock has finally been removed, and the game is now available on Steam in the Philippines.

Steam availability of PlayStation Studios titles was a major topic of discussion last year, especially in countries that are not officially supported by the PlayStation Network. That’s because, starting in early 2024, PlayStation began requiring users to link their PlayStation accounts for their PC releases.

Given this requirement, PlayStation Studios games became unavailable on Steam in the Philippines and other regions. Thankfully, PlayStation walked back on this decision, as it removed the region locks on most of its games in the PH a few months ago. At the time, only Ghost of Tsushima continued to be region-locked.

This week, Pinoy PC gamers spotted Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut becoming available on Steam in the Philippines. With this, pretty much all of PlayStation’s PC lineup can be purchased in the country again.

Hopefully, this also means that future PlayStation releases on PC will also be available in the country as soon as they’re released in officially supported regions.

We’re also hoping that, in the future, the PlayStation Network adds official support to more countries, so that regional issues no longer become an issue down the line.
