Bound to make a splash like last year’s counterpart, HONOR is set to release another all-angle-water-resistant phone this 2025 with the HONOR X7d, the numerical follow-up from HONOR X7c. For the this year, HONOR is certainly bringing the D to the series…durability.
The HONOR X7d will sport a 5-Star SGS Premium Performance Certification of Drop & Crush Resistance, and an improved ingress protection of an IP65M Dust and Water Resistant allowing the device to withstand jet-pressure burst of water. Furthermore, according to the brand, the HONOR X7d can withstand quick water submersions of up to 0.5 meters in under 3 minutes. So if you accidentally drop your phone on a small puddle (or, god forbid, the toilet bowl), you can safely fish the unit out without worrying too much (but please, sanitize the phone first before using).
As we’ve come to expect as well, the HONOR X7d is fitted with an extra large 6500 mAh dual-cell battery for all day usage.
Apart from the improved protection of the HONOR X7d, the phone reportedly will have a dedicated Instant AI button showcasing interactions by single press (one-click access) and long press (circle-to-search, AI creation, etc.). It is equipped with AI features in MagicOS 9.0 such as AI Editing, AI translation and Gemini 2.0 and 2.5 models.
