Following Version 2.2’s launch last August, HoYoverse announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.3 is coming to all platforms on Ocotber 15.
This latest version update is titled “Memories of Dreams Bygone,” and it will see players team up with Spook Shack and explore the Timesworn Hills. Fittingly for October, these hills feature a ghostly theme, complete with abandoned ruins in the Hollow. Of course, the highlight for many players is the addition of the new characters, Lucia, Yidhari, and Komano Manato.
The new version update’s prejise is described as:
The newly revealed Timesworn Hills region, known for its abundant Lumite ore deposits, conceals abandoned research facilities and testing ground ruins where chilling legends thrive. Tales of miners who vanished within the Miasma, the tolling of a phantom bell, creatures that gaze into people’s hearts, and hypnotists capable of ensnaring victims in endless dreams haunt the land. This new adventure begins with the case of missing miners and Porcelumex employees, drawing Proxies into the Hollow to uncover unsettling truths.
As for the new characters, first up is Lucia, an S-Rank Ether Support Agent. Her dreamlike powers let her recreate Ethereals in combat. When she accumulates enough Dream Points, she can enter a Dream state and unleash Ether Veil: Wellspring. This boosts allies’ max HP and team damage.
Next is Yidhari, an S-Rank Ice Rupture Agent who gains Sheer Force based on her max HP, while her ice attacks always inflict Sheer DMG to go through enemy defences. Her damage also increases when her HP percentage drops, making her a high-risk high-reward character.
For the third character, we have Komano Manato, an A-Rank Fire Rupture Agent. He has Sheer DMG with strikes that scale from his max HP.

Along with the new characters, the latest version update will also feature enhancements to Soldier 0 – Anby, meaning her combat skills shoudl be improved. The update also features the new “Threshold Simulation,” giving players new gameplay that where they deploy multiple squads to withstand interconnected battle scenarios. Version 2.3 will also add the “When Dreams Remain Unfinished” event, featuring turn-based combat.
Finally, HoYoverse teased new upcoming agents, including Banyue, Dialyn, Zhao, and Ye Shunguang. Plus, to celebrate the game’s new version, can claim an extra 600 Polychromes in addition to the regular rewards of 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons during Version 2.3.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.3 Memories of Dreams Bygone will be released on October 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC, iOS, and Android.
