Kojima Productions has teamed up with Dnsys for a real-life Death Stranding 2 exoskeleton, featuring similar functions to the one in-game.
For those unfamiliar, Dnsys was founded in 2020, featuring robotics experts from companies like DJI and Xiaomi. Dnsys’ goal is to create AI-exoskeleton solutions to enhance mobility, and its first product is a CFDA-approved hip joint exoskeleton made for the medical sector.
Then, in 2023, Dnsys launched the outdoor consumer version of its powered exoskeleton, the Dnsys X1. After this first successful Kickstarter-backed project, the company launched another Kickstarter, this time for the improved Dnsyx Z1 exoskeleton.

Now, Dnsys has partnered with Kojima Productions for a Death Stranding 2 version of its Z1. While it is essentially a limited edition version of the base Z1, this features a design that’s co-developed with KojiPro Art Director, Yoji Shinkawa.
While it’s not a 1:1 recreation of the exoskeleton in the game, it still looks like something straight out of Death Stranding. As a bonus, the exoskeleton packs a wide array of features that are similar to its in-game counterpart.
Specifically, it lets users get extra hiking endurance, knee pressure relief, and 50% extra power. It also promises to intelligently adapt to rugged terrain, all while having 4+ hours of battery life (with easily swappable batteries).
This exoskeleton will be released as a global limited edition on December 2, 2025. Fans can also get a chance to win their own Z1 exoskeleton via a giveaway. More details can be found on the Dnsys website.
As for the game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is available now on the PS5. For more info on the game, check out our full review here.
