Gravity highlights the future of Ragnarok at the Global Playground Gravity Visionary 2026 press conference

Four new Ragnarok titles are coming in 2026!

Gravity recently held its Global Playground Gravity Visionary 2026 press conference in Bangkok, and it put the spotlight on the future of Ragnarok.

This press conference happened earlier today, and you can think of it as a sort of lead-up to tomorrow’s Ragnarok Festa 2025 event that’s also happening in Bangkok. While the upcoming fan celebration will focus on a huge array of Ragnarok titles from Gravity’s various studios and partners around the world, today’s press conference was more about the series’ immediate future. If you thought 2025 was a big year for Ragnarok, you’d better get ready for next year, as there will be lots of big releases from the franchise.

Before the presentation began, we got to see some of the Ragnarok titles that fans can expect to see in 2026, courtesy of an experience area with devices running the four main games (more on that later).

As for the press conference itself, Gravity Chairman of the Board, Yoshinori Kitamura, opened the event with a presentation that looked back at Ragnarok’s history. This was followed by an explanation of Gravity’s vision for the future of Ragnarok.

The original Ragnarok Online was launched back in 2002, and since then, it has become a massive game franchise, with the series now having over 15 active games, with Gravity itself also expanding to 11 outposts across the world. In total, the Ragnarok games have also gotten 200 million total downloads, with the franchise’s growth not showing signs of stopping anytime soon.

Even with how successful Ragnarok continues to be, Gravity still has big plans to further grow the franchise. In 2026, Gravity has a  Ragnarok IP development roadmap consisting of four pillars, namely:

  • Activating the user community – by hosting events for the global RO community
  • Global strategy – Focusing on further activating communities with potential for growth, while continuing to serve key markets (like East and Southeast Asia).
  • IP-driven strategy – diversify Ragnarok offerings by creating projects in other mediums/fields, including animation, more collaborations, etc.
  • Continuous new title releases – while there are already plenty of Ragnarok titles, fans can expect even more in the future.

To end his presentation, Kitamura introduced Ragnarok Festa 2025 presented by OneOne, one of the biggest Ragnarok fan events ever. That’s because it will feature 18 titles, with each title getting dedicated areas. What’s more, the event will feature 4 major esports tournaments, with players coming to Bangkok from all over the world.

Given the scale of the event, Ragnarok Festa 2025 promises to be a must-attend for series fans in Thailand.

Gravity Game Tech President Jin Kim followed Kitamura with a rather similar presentation about Ragnarok’s 2025 highlights and 2026 plans. In Kim’s presentation though, the focus was more on specific 2025 milestones, followed by the 2026 game roadmap.

The highlights of this year are:

  • Ragnarok M: Classic – the game ranked no. 1 in SEA, and it landed in the Top 10 in many other countries.
  • Ragnarok Idle Adventure Plus – this idle adventure Ragnarok title got over one million pre-registrations.
  • Ragnarok Online Latin America (Classic) – the classic RO made a splash in Latin America, with over 100,000 downloads on launch day.
  • Ragnarok Crush – selected as a “Best of the Year” game in five SEA countries.
  • Ragnarok Twilight – reached no. 1 on Google Play’s Top Free charts and entered the Top 10 in revenue.

Meanwhile, here is the 2026 Ragnarok regional roadmap:

  • Ragnarok X Europe and Middle East-North Africa launch – happening in the first quarter of 2026.
  • Ragnarok Twilight Vietnam – also launching in Q1 2026.
  • Ragnarok Edless Trails in SEA – fans in Southeast Asia can expect this to launch soon.
  • Ragnarok Origin Classic – will get an Asia version, including Korea.
  • Ragnarok Zero Global SEA, Europe, and Oceania launch – scheduled for July 2026.
  • I’m the Hero of this Ragnarok Korea – a “completely new Ragnarok experience” coming in South Korea in the first half of 2026.
  • Ragnarok Project 1.5 – a new vision for Ragnarok Online that’s coming in the second half of next year.

These are already notable releases, but Kim also introduced Gravity’s key upcoming games for 2026, some of which you may already be familiar with if you’re a Ragnarok fan. After all, some of these games have already gotten closed beta tests.

The games include Ragnarok Abyss, Ragnarok Midgard Senki, Ragnarok The New World, and Ragnarok Online III.

Following Kim was a series of presentations that introduced each title, and dived into what sets each new Ragnarok game apart.

Ragnarok Abyss is an upcoming seamless open-world adventure, featuring an action-packed RPG combat system with a focus on dodging and attacking, along with a free-flowing story mode, plus customizable graphics. As a bonus, the game will feature cross-platform support for PC and mobile.

Next, Ragnarok Midgard Senki presents more of a “throwback” experience thanks to its 2D hand-drawn visuals and cute character designs. Even though it seems like a more laid-back franchise entry, Midgard Senki still features the classic RO battle style, along with an emphasis on world exploration and pet capturing/raising.

Then, there’s Ragnarok The New World, another open-world Ragnarok adventure with a massive 2km x 2km seamless map, coupled with real-time seasonal and weather changes. It also features a fast-paced combat system that recreates RO’s 193 ASPD extreme attack speed, along with big GvG siege battles. Plus, you can also enjoy a comprehensive fashion DIY system and a home-building mechanic.

Finally, Ragnarok Online III promises to be the next era of RO. In a way, you can think of it as the “flagship” RO title as it’s positioned as a proper successor to the OG Ragnarok game. As with the original, ROIII will feature a large-scale GvG system, complete with a 1500 x 1500 ultra-large map that’s sure to delight long-time fans. It will also have a classic chibi style inspired by the original (but with more detail), along with a seasonal system that aims to address the late-game flaws of MMORPGs like stat inflation and a high barrier to entry for newer players.

Given the variety of games that will be released in 2026, coupled with all the other regional launches, the Global Playground Gravity Visionary definitely proved that now is a great time to be a Ragnarok fan. It also helps that fans will be treated to a huge event that’s sure to catch the attention of Ragnarok communities around the world.

Ragnarok Festa 2025 presented by OneOne is happening tomorrow, December 13, at the UOB Live Hall in Emsphere Mall, Bangkok City.
