Pinoy anime fans are in for a treat as Otaku Pop Fes is set to debut in the Philippines this April, featuring an impressive lineup of guests and activities.
This big new anime event was announced in a press conference at Okada Manila’s Glass Ballroom – fitting, as the event will take place at Okada Manila. At the press conference, details about the event were shared, including the fact that it will happen from April 25 to 26, and will feature an exciting live performance lineup from Japanese and local artists.
During the press conference, Mr. Osaki Akinori, one of the key representatives behind Otaku Pop Fes, shared:
“Otaku Pop Fes was created to bring authentic Japanese pop culture experiences closer to fans in the Philippines. We want to create a space where people can enjoy anime, music, and live performances in a way that feels genuine and respectful to the culture,” he said, aiming to inspire confidence and anticipation among fans and media.
How the event works is that it will be split across two venues in Okada: The Ballroom and Cove Manila. The Ballroom will feature anime exhibition booths and stage programs, while Cove Manila will feature cosplay activities, Japanese pop culture showcases, and evening concerts. As such, you can think of this event as an anime/cosplay convention and music festival in one.
For the music portion, Otaku Pop Fes will feature the popular girl group UNIS, along with notable Japanese singers Eir Aoi and Hiroshi Kitadani. More details about the artist lineup will be shared in the coming weeks.
As for the cosplayer side of things, the press conference featured Myrtle Sarrosa, who was joined by fellow creators, Prince, Awie, Een, and Charess. Given this, attendees can expect plenty of notable Filipino creators in attendance at the event.
Finally, ticked details were shared. Tickets will be available for purchase starting today, January 30, 2026. These will be available in the following tiers and options:

- Event + Music Live VIP passes (Cove Cabana Group Passes)
