Netflix is collaborating with HYBE in a first-ever live event broadcast from Korea to be streamed globally on the platform. BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG is set to drop on March 21, 2026, at 8 PM KST (4 AM PST / 7 AM EST), and it’s safe to say that the excitement has never been more palpable.
The performance, filmed at the historic Gwanghwamun in Seoul, celebrates the release of the group’s fifth studio album, ARIRANG, and represents the first time all seven members—RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—will reunite on the global stage following completion of South Korea’s mandatory military service.

The livestream is part of Netflix’s partnership with HYBE to produce this unprecedented comeback event. Directed by Hamish Hamilton and executive produced by HYBE, BIGHIT MUSIC, Guy Carrington, Garrett English, and Kevin Hermanson through production company Done + Dusted, the ticketed event will be followed by additional details to be announced at a later date.
The album ARIRANG is described as a deeply reflective body of work exploring the group’s identity and roots, with a subsequent ARIRANG World Tour (2026–2027) planned across 34 regions and 82 shows spanning Asia, North and Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

Netflix will also release the documentary film BTS: THE RETURN on March 27, 2026, offering behind-the-scenes access to the making of the comeback album. Directed by Bao Nguyen (The Stringer, The Greatest Night in Pop) and produced by This Machine, HYBE, and EAST Films, the feature-length documentary chronicles the group’s reunion in Los Angeles as they return to collaborative music creation after time apart.
The film follows BTS as they navigate questions of artistic reinvention while honoring their legacy since their 2013 debut, capturing moments of doubt, laughter, and rediscovery that shaped the new album.
