To celebrate the recent Disney+ release of iconic 2000s Disney classics, a special “throwback” party was held recently held in Manila.
While Disney (especially Disney+) is synonymous with big Marvel and Star Wars for many kids shows these days, those who grew up in the 2000s equate Disney with Disney Channel original movies and shows. These include the likes of High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, and That’s So Raven.
Given how beloved these titles are to 2000s kids, it’s no surprise that Disney+ recently began streaming these movies and series. To mark their streaming release, Disney+ Philippines held a special throwback party at Clubhouse at the Palace BGC earlier this month. There, millennials and Gen Z attendees got to enjoy a Disney trivia showdown, a 2000s karaoke battle, and throwback installations that transported them back to the 2000s.
What’s also exciting during the event is that Disney+ shared a teaser for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which is finally coming out tomorrow.
So, what exactly can you expect in this special? Well, it’s a celebration of all things Hannah Montana, featuring an interview with Miley Cyrus, along with behind-the-scenes footage from the show.
