The HONOR Magic V6 comes out strong with a durable super steel hinge and advanced 4-in-1 display glass technology. Following its global preview at the MWC 2026 stage, the device has officially launched in China, signaling a major shift in the foldable smartphone landscape. During its initial showcase, the device offered a glimpse of how it intended to challenge market competitors through a blend of aesthetic elegance and rugged engineering.
Right in your face–quite literally, is the 4-in-1 display glass technology, which eliminates the need for traditional tempered glass protectors,. By utilizing atomic-level magnetron sputtering technology, HONOR has plated the screen with 5600 layers of silicon nitride. This process creates an ultra-thin film over 2000nm thick, resulting in a 10-fold increase in drop resistance and a 15-fold increase in scratch resistance.

Furthermore, the application of tangential capacitive plasma polishing (CPP) technology reduces surface unevenness to just 2nm, while an anti-reflective film layer drops reflectivity from 5% to a mere 1.5%. These innovations support a massive 7.95-inch BOE OLED inner screen and a 6.52-inch cover display, reaching peak brightness levels of 5000 and 6000 nits, respectively.
The structural integrity of the Magic V6 is further bolstered by its “Super Shield Steel” hinge technology. Crafted using an air-grade forging process, the hinge possesses a strength of 2800MPa, a figure that exceeds the structural reinforcement of a car’s A-pillar. This new generation hinge is not only sturdier and smoother but also maintains an IP69 rating for water resistance. This advanced engineering allows for a nearly invisible crease—improving the crease factor by 44%—while maintaining an ultra-slim profile of just 8.75mm when folded.
Powering this hardware is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Supreme Edition, ensuring that the device’s performance matches its physical durability. The device also integrates new AI tools like AI Document Edit for quick meeting summaries and image-to-document conversions.
