While the first season is over, the good news for rom-com anime fans is that You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 is in the works, and it’s set to premiere in July 2026.
The 12th and final episode of Season 1 was released yesterday, though shortly before its broadcast, the anime confirmed that Season 2 is in production. Details were shared on the anime’s official website and social media pages.
What’s great is that fans won’t have to wait for over a year for the show to return. That’s becuase You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 is scheduled to release on July 5, 2026. Best of all, the show’s second season is also confirmed to stream on Crunchyroll in most of the world.
On top of these, given how much the first season adapted, the second season will likely cover the rest of the manga, making this a complete adaptation. Given that many anime don’t get completed (or at least, take a long time to finish), it’s refreshing to have a rom-com anime get adapted in full. Hopefully, that is indeed the case.

The Winter 2026 season was filled with plenty of great titles, but as we noted in our initial review, You and I Are Polar Opposites was great enough to be one of our top anime of the season. This is thanks to its lovable characters, as well as the fast progression of the main couple. In that regard, it’s quite a refreshing watch compared to other rom-com shows which are rather slow in terms of the development of the protagonists’ relationship. As such, we’re definitely putting the show’s second season high on our Summer 2026 watch list.
