Geek+Pop recently announced it will host the Philippine International Collectibles and Card Show (PICCS) x RESBAK event next month. This event is a big one for geeks in the Philippines, as it’s a celebration of collectible card games and fighting games, all under one roof at the One Ayala.
For PICCS, attendees can enjoy booths and activities for practically all of today’s popular card games in the country. These include Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, Alpha Clash, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, and Cardfight!! Vanguard, Flesh & Blood, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and more. Along with card games, the event is also bringing tabletop miniature games like Unmatched and Warhammer 40,000. Plus, there will be a series of tournaments throughout the two-day event.
As for RESBAK, the fighting game side of the event will feature tournaments for Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Super Smash Bros., Granblue Fantasy Versus, and Invincible VS. Aside from these main titles, there will also be side tournaments for other fighting games throughout the weekend.
Geek+Pop is also bringing some special guests, including the grindcore band Tubero. More guests with meet-and-greet opportunities will also be revealed in the lead-up to the event.
