Excitement is building for the upcoming HUAWEI Pura 90 Series as official details confirm an April 20 launch. This official announcement puts an end to weeks of intense anticipation and widespread leaks that have teased the imminent arrival of the new flagship. The first look at the device reveals a bold aesthetic shift, specifically a return to the vibrant gradient color era that Huawei first popularized globally with the classic P20 Pro. One of the most striking combinations is a new orange and blue gradient that has captured significant attention for its bold and “insane” visual appeal.

While the rear layout stays largely consistent with the previous generation, the physical hardware has undergone a modern transformation with a premium flat metal frame featuring a high-end finish. This contemporary approach replaces the curved edges seen in the past and is paired with an immersive full-view display that boasts tiny bezels and a centered selfie-camera punch-hole.
The back of the device is dominated by a distinctive triangular camera island containing a wide, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto lens system. This advanced hardware is further enhanced by the upgraded XMAGE imaging branding, promising significant improvements to post-capture image composition and telephoto zoom performance.

The company has currently unveiled two primary versions: the Pura 90 Pro and the Pura 90 Pro Max. The Pro Max will be available in five sophisticated colors including Obsidian Black, Dawn Gold, Purple Sunset, Orange Ocean, and Emerald Lake, while the Pro variant offers unique options like Mulberry Black, Coconut White, Orange Soda, and Pink Guava.
Surprisingly, the Ultra model is currently absent from the lineup–at least for now. Under the hood, the series is expected to run on a polished Kirin chipset optimized for the HarmonyOS 6 operating system to ensure maximum efficiency for on-device AI tasks.
