Following last month’s DOOM crossover, Blizzard announced that the next Diablo Immortal collab is with StarCraft, and the event goes live on May 13.
This new collab sees two of Blizzard’s most popular franchises collide, complete with new boss fights, familiar skins, and various crossover rewards. For many players, the highlight of this crossover is the new Legendary Gem, Baneboil, which detonates enemy lines in corrosive explosions. There’s also the new Phantom Market that lets players become the Queen of Blades, Kerrigan.
During the collab’s Aeon of Stars event, players can earn the following rewards by logging in:
- A Starcraft-Inspired Avatar Frame
- The Baneboil 2-Star Legendary Gem
- 1x Weapon Transmog inspired by Kerrigan, Queen of Blades
Other rewards can also be unlocked by doing daily activities or challenges. These rewards include:
- Starcraft Inspired Portal
- Starcraft Inspired Stickers
- Weapons Transmogs inspired by Kerrigan
- Legendary Gear with selectable affixes
- Set Items with selectable affixes
Players can also challenge Tal’Darim Templar and Ascended Archon units in a limited‑time boss fight. Here, up to four players can join and complete event‑specific objectives to earn exclusive rewards. Plus, Elder Rifts can mutate during the Aeon of Stars, infesting them with Zerg forces, along with the Feral Hydralisk boss. By completing these rifts, players will be able to earn Legendary weapons with special affixes.
This new crossover also adds a Special Conqueror Mode, featuring faction‑themed shrines inspired by Starcraft. Players can activate shrines to unleash powerful orbs, such as:
- Stim Pack (Terran): +30% Attack and Movement Speed for 8 seconds
- Poison (Zerg): Attacks with fire poison projectiles that apply damage over time
- Shields (Protoss): Grants a protective shield that absorbs damage
Finally, the Zergling and the Immortal join the fight as new familiar skins. When a Zergling familiar fights by a player’s side, their portable skills can be used without a cooldown.
