Konami recently announced that Silent Hill f has now shipped over 2 million units worldwide, while the Silent Hill 2 remake has exceeded 6 million players.
Based on Konami’s internal tracking, Silent Hill f shipments have surpassed 2 million units worldwide, as of April 22, 2026. This number refers to total physical and digital sales. Given that the 2 million number refers to sales, this is no doubt a big achievement for the new Silent Hill game.
The game’s success is great news not only for Konami but also for horror game fans. After all, Silent Hill is one of the premier horror game franchises, but has been essentially on ice after 2012’s Downpour. So, seeing the newest installment become successful should mean we’ll see more Silent Hill games in the future.

It’s not just Silent Hill f that reached a major milestone. According to Konami, the Silent Hill 2 remake has also surpassed 6 million players, according to Konami’s internal tracking as of April 24, 2026.
Interestingly, Konami didn’t cite specific sales numbers. This makes sense as Silent Hill 2 has reached this big player count, likely thanks to the fact that it was a free title for PlayStation Plus subscribers back in October 2025. Nonetheless, this is still quite a feat.

Currently, two Silent Hill projects are confirmed to be in development. First, there’s Silent Hill: Townfall, which is another spinoff that was revealed at PlayStation’s State of Play earlier this year. Silent Hill 2 remake studio, Bloober Team, is also working on another remake. This time, it’s a remake of the original Silent Hill.
While Townfall is scheduled to be released sometime this year, there’s no word yet on a release window for the Silent Hill 1 remake.
