Capcom Town website returns, featuring classic retro games

A selection of classic Capcom titles are playable on the website.

Capcom recently announced the return of Capcom Town, the special website where fans can play retro classics from the publisher.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Capcom Town is a website that first went live in 2023, and it was made to celebrate Capcom’s 40th anniversary. When it was launched, the site featured some classic games from Capcom that players could try out on a browser.

Instead of just being a one-off thing, this website has just been redesigned, meaning players now have a better way of playing some retro Capcom titles. Along with this, fans can also stream exclusive video content.

On the redesigned site, players can go to the “Classic Games” section to play iconic hits like Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, 1942, and Mega Man 2. As with the old version of the site, players can try these games out directly on their browser on both PC and mobile devices. Yes, this means players won’t need to download the games to play them.

What’s more, the site now has an “UPCOMING GAMES” section where future releases will be highlighted. This also means the site will see its game roster expanded regularly.

Along with retro games, players can also head over to the “Theatre” section, which features new Capcom game trailers and special animations. This section also lets players watch the Mega Man: Start episode of Prime Video’s Secret Level anthology series.

Finally, Capcom Town promises to introduce even more features and interactive experiences in the future. More details about what’s to come to the website will be shared soon.

The Capcom Town website is available now to players in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the United States, Canada, and Hong Kong.
