Cygames recently announced that it will release the Version 2.60 update for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, along with a Switch 2 version, on September 17.
The upcoming update is quite a big one, as it will add the new playable DLC character, Id. He should be a familiar face to big Granblue Fantasy fans. In case you’re unfamiliar, though, Id is a character from GBF: Relink, and he was formerly an enemy of the player’s crew in the game.
Along with Id, the Version 2.60 update will also add the new stage Ainsteddo Archipelago, along with a new system mechanic and a range of balance changes for certain characters. As the update’s launch is still months away, the complete details will be shared closer to its release.
September 17 won’t just see the new version update get released, as the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Switch 2 version will launch on the same day.
This edition of GBFVSR will feature the entire roster of the PlayStation and PC versions. It will also retain the Story Modes and Figure Studio, while adding local communication multiplayer support.
As with the big version update, more details about the Switch 2 edition will be shared soon.
Finally, to hype up the Endless Ragnarok expansion for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, players will be able to link their Endless Ragnarok save with their GBVSR data. By doing this, players will get bonus items, including a weapon skin for Id and a Lyria (Shaman of Salvation) lobby avatar.
While Endless Ragnarok will be released on July 9, the save data link feature will only be available on September 17.
