Looks like MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is getting an official PC Steam release in the Philippines

Thankfully, it seems PlayStation has removed region locks in the PH for this game.

With the game’s release less than two months away, it seems that MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is no longer region-locked on Steam in the Philippines.

Last year, many players noted that MARVEL Tōkon seemed to be region-locked, as the game’s Steam Store page did not show up in regions that aren’t officially supported by PlayStation. Recently, some players have checked again, and it seems like the game’s region lock has been removed, at least for certain countries.

For instance, someone posted on Reddit that the game’s Steam Store page is now up in the Philippines. Upon checking, we can indeed see the game’s Steam page, with MARVEL Tōkon being available to add to a user’s wishlist, which should mean it will be available in the PH upon launch this August. While it seems that the game is still not available in all countries worldwide, this is at least a good sign for fighting game fans who want to play the game.

This is a great development, and it makes sense, considering that PlayStation removed game region locks last year on Steam. Previously, PlayStation Studios titles on PC were not released in unsupported regions. It’s a good thing that PlayStation walked back on this policy, as the previous policy meant that many players across the world were unable to play games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Ghost of Tsushima officially on PC.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be released on PS5 and PC on August 6, 2026.
