Persona 3 is officially 20 years old, and to celebrate its 20th anniversary, Atlus shared a special artwork and new music video for the game.
The original Persona 3 was released on the PS2 in Japan on July 13, 2006, making today its exact 20th birthday. To celebrate this, along with the fact that Persona 3 Reload (the game’s remake, which came out in early 2024) has now sold over 3 million units worldwide, Atlus shared a special illustration from character designer Shigenori Soejima.
This new illustration features Persona 3’s protagonist drawn in Soejima’s signature style, complete with a P3-blue background. It also features a message that commemorates both the 20th anniversary and the game’s sales record.
To go along with this illustration, Atlus shared the new “Persona 3: 20th Anniversary Remix” Music Video, featuring music from the game, reimagined by DJ VaVa. As for the video itself, it features retro pixel art by Motocross Saito.

Since PERSONA LIVE TOUR 2024 -more ahead-, I’ve been working with ATLUS as a DJ, exchanging ideas with the team to create musical arrangements for concerts and other works.
I vividly remember the shock of receiving the initial offer, the rush of excitement that followed, and the deep passion of the ATLUS team.
Now, here we are in 2026. The Persona series is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Persona 3 its 20th—congratulations! For this amazing milestone, I’ve arranged Persona 3‘s music into a more chill style. (PS: Lotus Juice even recorded brand-new vocals specially for this video!)
It might sound weird as the guy who arranged this track, but I actually listen to it a lot in the mornings, haha. I hope it reaches every Persona fan out there! Thank you for always creating such incredible games, ATLUS!

Nice to meet you, I’m Motocross Saito, and I handled the pixel art and art direction for this music video. It was a real honor to be part of Persona 3‘s 20th anniversary and Persona 3 Reload‘s 2nd anniversary, so I gave this project my all.
While playing the game, I was floored by how much heart went into it. Aiming to capture even its smallest details, the development team and I worked closely to create scenes that would make fans feel like they’re right there in the world of Persona. I hope you enjoy it!
