It has been a year since its initial reveal, and now, CD Projekt RED has shared the first-ever trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, giving us our first look at its cast and the reveal of its release window.
While it’s not the longest trailer, it did show off lots of action-packed clips featuring the new characters. Yes, while Edgerunners 2 has “2” in its title, it’s not a direct sequel to the first season. Instead, it will feature a new, standalone story that’s set in Night City, meaning we probably won’t see any returning characters.
You can check out the new trailer here:
The trailer featured the new song “You Can’t Run From Me” by Rico Nasty, which was written exclusively for the show. This track is also available to stream right now on all major music platforms.
Following the trailer’s release, CD Projekt RED and Studio Trigger revealed the show’s main characters, along with a description and their respective Japanese voice actors.
Here’s a rundown of the confirmed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 cast and characters:
- Weak Kingsley (voiced by Kentaro Tone) – Once known as “King,” a veteran edgerunner at the top of his game, Weak now lives in the shadow of his former glory.
- D (voiced by Koki Uchiyama) – A Snake Nation netrunner with sharp technical skills and a sharper hunger for revenge, D hunts the killer who wiped out his clan.
- Roman Carax (voiced by Momoko Terasawa) – Roman Carax is a young cinephile chasing real stories in a city that’s abandoned film for braindance. Obsessed with documenting truth, he shadows the lives of others — only to learn that unlike his favorite reels, Night City’s stories are messy, brutal, and rarely tied up with a clean ending.
- Talia Yang (voiced by Akari Kito) – Raised in corpo towers but hardened in Maelstrom’s grip, Talia is fiercely independent and steeped in the gang’s hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed culture.

Directing the show is Kai Ikarashi, a long-time staff member at Trigger. Meanwhile, character designs are by Ichigo Kanno, with the story written by CD Projekt RED’s Bartosz Sztybor alongside Masahiko Otsuka.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will be released in Fall 2026, exclusively on Netflix. For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date, nor is there any word on how many episodes the anime will have.
