Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios recently announced that Clayface is coming to cinemas in the Philippines this October. Along with its PH release, Warner Bros. also shared Clayface’s official trailer.
What makes this new DC film interesting is that it’s not going to be the typical superhero movie. Instead, this is a body horror film directed by James Watkins, the director of 2024’s Speak No Evil. It’s also written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, with Flanagan being the creator of notable horror shows, including The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass.

Meanwhile, its premise is described as:
“Matt Hagen’s meteoric rise from Gotham street kid to Hollywood leading man is tragically cut short when a local crime boss’s actions leave him horribly disfigured. Abandoned by his team and with nothing left, Matt seeks out a cutting edge treatment that miraculously returns him to his former self… but also unexpectedly affects his grip on reality, spiraling him down a destructive path of all-consuming revenge.”
The film stars Tom Rhys Harries as Clayface. He is joined by Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, as well as Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.
Clayface opens in cinemas in the Philippines on October 21, 2026. More details, including its official PH cinema list, will be shared soon.
