HONOR MagicOS 10 set to introduce industry-first 120FPS screen mirroring

It looks like HONOR MagicOS 10 will be introducing something a bit more interesting than a simple UI overhaul.

The upcoming HONOR MagicOS 10 features an update that will transform how users share their screens moving forward. This software version, scheduled for release in July 2026, will introduce the industry’s first screencasting function with 120 frames per second (FPS) capability. By upgrading from the previous 60FPS limit, the company is effectively eliminating a significant technical limitation for its mobile devices. Screen mirroring refers to the process of duplicating the ongoing content on a phone’s display onto a larger one, such as a television, laptop monitor, or projector, in real-time. This happens via a wireless connection, and notably, it does not affect the display quality of the original content.

The introduction of 120FPS represents a major leap in visual fidelity, as the number reflects how the device generates and pushes an individual image to the screen every 8.3 seconds. A higher frame rate leads to significantly smoother motion, fewer blurry views, and much faster input responsiveness.

Consequently, the overall visuals appear more fluid and natural on the screen, whether users are sharing apps, high-resolution photos, or simple notifications. When enabled, the feature sends a visual duplicate of the current device’s screen to another under the same network. A standout feature of this update is the ability to share this new screen projection function with up to three devices at the same time, a capability that reportedly marks another first for the industry.

According to a Weibo tipster, both smartphones and tablets within the ecosystem will be eligible to receive this enhanced mirroring functionality. Beyond the performance upgrades, the HONOR MagicOS 10 update is also expected to welcome new UI changes to further improve the user experience.
