Ten years after the last release in the series, Rhythm Heaven Groove is finally available now on Nintendo Switch, and it features a brand-new song by Ado.
To be exact, the last Rhythm Heaven game was Megamix, which was released for the Nintendo 3DS way back in 2016. Even though it has a dedicated following, it has taken a decade for Nintendo to return to the series. Thankfully, the long wait is over as Rhythm Heaven Groove is available on Nintendo Switch.
For a better idea of what to expect (in case you haven’t played the other games in the series), you can check out the game’s overview trailer here:
As its name implies, Rhythm Heaven Groove is a rhythm game that’s easy to learn, as you simply need to time your button presses to the beat in the various scenarios that the game offers. These scenarios range from chopping vegetables, flapping wings in flight, and more. All the while, you get to hear incredibly catchy tracks by renowned Japanese musician Tsunku, with distinctive artwork by Ko Takeuchi; both of whom have been involved with the series from the start.
What’s cool in this new game is that it features a brand-new track by popular Japanese singer Ado. Her new track is called “Love me forever,” and it’s also composed by Tsunku. As such, the new song is a perfect fit for the game.
To commemorate the new song, a special cover art was shared, and it’s made in the style of Rhythm Heaven’s signature art style.
