Smart Communications, Inc. is partnering up with Blacknut, the global leader in cloud gaming to bring a new mobile experience to Filipinos. All you need is a smartphone, and none of the expensive hardware or large downloads one would expect. Announced on July 27, 2026, this strategic collaboration allows Smart and TNT subscribers to access a massive library of over 1,000 titles, ranging from AAA hits like NBA 2K and For Honor to family-friendly LEGO games, all streamed instantly through a mobile browser.
Because gameplay is rendered on powerful cloud servers and streamed in real-time, users can jump into their favorite games in seconds, effectively removing the traditional barriers of limited device storage and high equipment costs.
“Cloud gaming removes the biggest barriers to enjoy console-level gaming at your fingertips — expensive hardware, long downloads, and limited storage. With Blacknut, we’re making high-quality gaming instantly accessible to our millions of subscribers, powered by our award-winning network,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP and Co-OIC at Smart.
The service is designed for maximum accessibility, allowing subscribers to sign up using their mobile numbers at a dedicated portal. Subscriptions start at an affordable P145 per week, which can be charged directly to a user’s prepaid load after a quick verification process.
“Our strategic partnership with Blacknut affirms Smart’s commitment to empowering more Filipinos with access to cutting-edge digital experiences and immersive online entertainment that cloud gaming brings,” said Marjorie C. Garrovillo, FVP and Co-OIC at Smart.
Since cloud gaming relies heavily on responsiveness, the experience is supported by Smart’s award-winning network infrastructure. The company was recently recognized by Ookla for delivering the Best Mobile Latency Performance in the country, with a median latency of 45.88 milliseconds, as well as the Best Mobile Video Experience.
“We’re proud to partner with Smart in making premium, console-level gaming accessible locally, giving players new ways to game and have fun anytime, anywhere,” said Olivier Avaro, CEO of Blacknut.
Smart and TNT subscribers can access the Blacknut Cloud Gaming service via the official website.
