Created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, Daredevil is the alter ego of Blind Attorney Matt Murdock, who lost his sight at a young age due to an accident that exposed his eyes to a radioactive substance. Although no longer able to see, his other senses have been enhanced to superhuman levels, and Murdock also gains a “Radar Sense” that allows him to detect unseen enemies. After his father and boxer Jack Murdock is murdered, Matt adopts a dual identity to seek justice and protect the innocent of Hell’s Kitchen and beyond as the vigilante called “Daredevil”.

Once played by Ben Affleck in the 2003 film of the same name that was produced by 20th Century Fox and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, Daredevil was eventually reacquired by Marvel, which led to the new series being produced and made. The show will debut on Netflix starting April 10, 2015.
