While Deadpool looms over this week, the guys at DC are spinning those Batman V Superman machinery to high gears with the release of this Turkish Airline cross-promotion shown in today’s Super Bowl 50. Watch as the airline asks viewers to visit both Gotham City and Metropolis and shows a couple of great scenic shots that will hopefully be in the movie.

Having played DC Universe Online years back, one of the major joys I got was exploring the ins and outs of many of these great cities. Being able to go (albeit virtually) to the Bowery, Amusement Mile, Ace Chemical Plant, or even the street where Bruce’s parents were tragically killed or flying atop the Daily Planet or Lex Corp Building, you couldn’t imagine how ecstatic I was back then. The Turkish Airline promotion doesn’t come out of nowhere as well, according to the Comic Book Resource, as the planes will have a “pivotal” role in film. Whatever that is this fake commercial makes me yearn for the movie even more — and, more than that, made me wish that we could really fly to both Gotham or Metropolis. hehe.

Turkish Airline Metropolis

So after watching the commercial which city would you want to visit first? Will you #FlyToGotham or #FlyToMetropolis? 🙂
