Sleek, bold, and packs a wallop, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is a powerhouse of a device for the brand’s flagship line.

The largest from the 3 variants announced, Samsung Philippines was gracious enough to have us play with the device even if it’s just for a day, and boy are we dying to spend more time with it!

Being in the imaging business for the longest time, Samsung knows how to create stunning screens. The S10 is no exception and the S10 Plus, even with a bigger Infinity O punch-hole camera (to house 2 front-facing cameras), still manages to give a robust and immersive viewing experience.

As mentioned in our initial feature, the punch-hole camera isn’t necessarily new as we’ve seen it on other Android smartphones, but Samsung’s implementation makes their punch-hole work with the overall aesthetic.

Case-in-point is when you active Samsung’s lightning-fast face-recognition and the Infinity O’s edges glow to signify data being read and accessed.

Enjoying a whopping 6.4” dynamic AMOLED display, the Samsung Galaxy S Plus is also fitted with amazing color accuracy so that you get to experience images and videos in very high definition – ultimately the way the directors and producers imagined it to be. Speaking of HD, Samsung Galaxy S10 series also supports HDR10+, a Samsung-invented configuration of HDR which adds dynamic metadata to the HDR signal. This means that when you have a format that supports HDR10+, your screen display adjusts the various brightness and clarity on a frame-per-frame basis giving you higher clarity and superb imaging!

While display is important, capturing images is also a key factor in the overall build quality of the Galaxy S10 series. For the S10 Plus, the phone is fitted with 3 rear cameras and 2 front-facing ones. Have the flexibility to switch camera depending on your mood and your photography style and choose between wide, ultra-wide and telephoto lenses working together seamlessly to give you as much photo advantage as, say, a professional photographer.

The front-facing cameras also houses a UHD wide-angled lens and a depth sensor lens so you can enjoy more selfie moments as well. Speaking of selfie-moments, did you know that both camera setups (front and back) can record at HDR10+ quality? Yuhup, the Galaxy S10 is one of the few smartphones that allows your front-facing camera to record at UHD with the front-facing lenses. And to add to all of this, Samsung’s OiS is simple one of the best in the industry. So much so that they even added a special function called Super Steady Camera to aid you in your video recording. The assist will help with unintentional shakes and jitters for smoother panning and dolly shots.

Here are a couple of samples from the Samsung Galaxy 10 Plus:

Diving in on the hardware, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is fitted with an 8nm Octa-core Processor, 8GB of RAM and a 128GB internal memory that can be expanded to 512GB. If that’s not enough there’s a 12GB/ 1TB version available as well but you’re going to have to cough up a pretty penny for it.

GAMING AND ENTERTAINMENT

As expected from the brand’s high-end flagship line, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Series can pretty much play any and all of the apps and games thrown at it. With high dynamic display, and the littlelest notch to interfere with your entertainment, the Samsung Galaxy S10 is built to entertain – and to entertain for a long time thanks to it’s large-capacity battery (4100mah for the Samsung Galaxy S10+) with fast-charging and reverse wireless charging capabilities. Speaking of fast, the phone’s 8G of RAM ensures buttery smoothness when you plug in your favorite game even at max setting.
