Following the global launch of the Mate 30 series last month, Huawei has finally made its latest flagship lineup official in the Philippines. Last Monday (October 28), Huawei held the launch event of the Mate 30 series, and there it highlighted the various innovative features of the new flagships.

As expected, Huawei focused a lot on the cameras in the development of the Mate 30 line. The Pro model in particular, has an incredible shooter setup consisting of a new 40MP Cine Camera and a 40MP SuperSensing Camera, both of which are made to deliver great results for both photos and videos. Meanwhile, the base Mate 30 is nothing to scoff at with its triple cam setup which also has a 40MP SuperSensing Cine camera.

For the Mate 30 line’s processor, Huawei used the new Kirin 990, an SoC that’s Huawei’s most powerful yet. Aside from raw power, the Kirin 990 also has lots of tricks up its sleeve, including less power consumption, as well as nifty features such as heart rate and breath readings via the front camera.
