Outriders is available now on PC and consoles

The new multiplayer looter-shooter from Square Enix, Outriders, is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

While the game was announced back in 2019, it was only recently that Square Enix’s Outriders gained traction, thanks in large part to the free demo released last month. Now though, Outriders is available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC!

Specifically, the game released last Thursday, April 4, 2021, though the release was rocky to say the least. As with most massive co-op/multiplayer games, lots of players had trouble logging in to servers over the first day or two of release. Though during the weekend, it seems that server issues have stabilized, and now players should be able to play the game without any issues.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Outriders is a third-person “looter shooter” in the vein of Destiny and The Division. While it’s designed with co-op gameplay in mind, the game can be played as a single-player experience.

The game is described by Square Enix as:

Outriders is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet.

Outriders is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The game can be played with 1-3 players.
