Acer unveils the Vero line, featuring eco-friendly laptops and PCs

Acer recently announced the Vero line of green products which use post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and recyclable packaging.

Acer recently announced the Vero line of green products which use post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and recyclable packaging. Along with being made of environmentally-friendly materials, the Vero line devices have also been designed to be easy to disassemble, making them simpler to repair and upgrade which should increase their lifespans.

The highlight products of the Vero series are the Aspire Vero and TravelMate Vero laptops.

The Aspire Vero (AV15-51) chassis is composed of 30% PCR plastic, and the keycaps also contain 50% PCR plastic. On top of these, the laptop also features 100% recyclable packaging, As for its internals, the Aspire Vero is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

Meanwhile, the TravelMate Vero features 30% PCR plastic throughout its chassis, and ships in 100% recyclable packaging. The laptop is also designed to be easily repaired or upgraded. And inside, the laptop packs up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of DDR4 memory, and a 1 TB SSD.

Next up, we have the Acer Veriton Vero Mini (VVN4690G), an eco-friendly mini PC powered by next-generation Intel Core vPro processors, all while having a small form factor that can be easily tucked in to the back of a monitor. As for its build, mini PC’s chassis consists of 25% PCR plastic, and it ships in a 100% recyclable box.

Another eco-friendly Vero product is the the Acer Vero BR277, a FHD monitor with a housing made from more than 50% PCR plastic. This monitor has also earned green certifications from ENERGY STAR, TCO and EPEAT; plus, it comes in 100% recyclable packaging.

Rounding out the Vero lineup are accessories, including the Macaron Vero Mouse (AMR020), Vero Mousepad (AMP120 / AMP121) and Vero Sleeve (ABG131 / ABG132).
