In case you missed its reveal last year, Stranger of Paradise is an upcoming action RPG developed by Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja. This Final Fantasy spin-off features gameplay that’s inspired by the Nioh and the Souls series, but with some Final Fantasy elements. Given the Nioh/Souls-inspired gameplay, Stranger of Paradise will be on the difficult side even on the Normal difficulty, but the developers mentioned that the game won’t be as hard as Nioh.

As for its story, the game is a dark fantasy version of the original Final Fantasy game, and it follows Jack Garland, a man obsessed with destroying Chaos.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin releases for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox one, and PC on March 18, 2022.
