After a rocky launch, Blizzard gives Overwatch 2 players a free skin and bonus xp

Overwatch 2 is finally here and with it came a rocky start. For those eagerly anticipated the release of the asymmetrical 5v5 shooter, its safe to say that they are met with long queue times and even worse, and LC-208 login error for almost a day making it unplayable.

After numerous complaints from both new and long-time fans, Blizzard heard your cries and is making up for it by in-game cosmetics and catch-up xp.

Reaper mains with of course benefit from this as players who log on October 25, players you get a new Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin, as well as other cosmetic items like a Health Pack Weapon Charm.

And that’s that! Makes sure to login during that time period to get the free skin. On a somewhat related note, there’s another free skin up for grabs this time for the new hero Kiriko but for that you have to go into Twitch and watch supported streams for Overwatch 2, here’s the mechanics for that.
