Gravity recently began the closed beta test for NBA Rise on July 21 in eight Asian regions, including the Philippines.
While Gravity is best known for its Ragnarok franchise, it also has a variety of titles in its roster, including this new NBA game. Instead of being a sports simulation or basketball management game, NBA Rise is a basketball card game. This makes sense, given how incredibly popular collectible cards have become, especially for sports leagues like the NBA.
NBA Rise features real-life player cards, official team logos, and actual game data, with a presentation based on a live sports broadcast. How it works is that players can build their decks by scouting and developing player cards. Players can use these cards in a variety of game modes, including PvP Arena, Popularity Battle, and Tower Race, as well as PvE Season Matches, Daily Division, and the RvR Club Conquest.
Fans of the NBA can try the game out now via its closed beta test, which is live until July 28 in eight Asian regions, including Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. The beta is available to download on Google Play, where the beta build can be played for free.

Alongside the closed beta, Gravity will host various in-game and community events for NBA Rise. For instance, there’s a Favorite Player event happening until July 23, along with a Show Off Your Deck event from July 24 to 26. By participating in these, players will receive various rewards, such as in-game currency.
