Globe celebrates Disney+ Philippines release with BGC, Cebu, and Davao launch events

To mark the long-awaited launch of Disney+, Globe held launch events in BGC, Cebu, and Davao that highlight the world of Disney.

To mark the long-awaited launch of Disney+ in the Philippines, Globe held launch events in BGC, Cebu, and Davao that highlight the world of Disney.

To kick off the Disney-inspired celebration, Globe held live performances on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Bonifacio High Street in BGC, Taguig. There, Idol Philippines Season 1 Winner Zephanie performed popular songs from Disney. Attendees were also able to participate in special raffle draws, and experience a colorful fireworks display.

Meanwhile, Disney fans in BGC, Cebu, and Davao were treated to photo ops featuring re-creations of iconic scenes from Disney’s Encanto, Marvel Studios’ She Hulk: Attorney at Law, Disney, Pixar’s Lightyear and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars, and BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-LA from Star.

These Disney-inspired ‘World of Wonder’ events were held at:

  • Bonifacio High Street in BGC, Taguig from November 18 to 20
  • Ayala Center Cebu Activity Center in Cebu on November 18
  • SM Davao Annex Ecoland Activity Center in Davao on November 18

While Disney+ is available to purchase via its website, Globe customers can choose from a range of subscription plans to access the streaming service much more easily. For starters, Globe is offering the Disney+Mobile Plan for PHP 159 per month or PHP 1,150 per year; or, for streaming on up to four devices, the Disney+ Premium Plan for PHP 369 per month or PHP 2,950 per year.
