Specifically, this fan screening will happen on January 28, 2023, in IMAX Cinemas at SM Megamall, North EDSA, and Mall of Asia. The first Megamall screening was announced recently via the SM Cinema official Facebook page. Soon, the North EDSA and Mall of Asia screenings were added due to public demand.

For this screening, fans can get a t-shirt, a poster, and a keychain for a ticket price of PHP 1,200. Plus, each ticket comes with complementary caramel popcorn.
While most Filipino anime fans are no doubt familiar with Slam Dunk, some may have missed the movie announcement. If you’re one of them, The First Slam Dunk is the first anime project in the franchise in years, and it’s a 3DCG anime movie that’s directed by series creator Takehiko Inoue himself.
It’s not clear what the story of this movie will be, but what’s for sure is that it will feature everyone’s favorite characters from the Shohoku High basketball team, including the likes of Sakuragi, Rukawa, Akagi, Mitsui, and Miyagi.
In case you aren’t able to watch the fan screening, don’t worry as The First Slam Dunk is coming to cinemas in the Philippines on February 1, 2023. For more info, click HERE.
