XALADIA: Rise of Space Pirates X2 launches playable demo on Steam
XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 is an upcoming twin-stick shooter that you can try out for free this weekend!
ACQUIRE Corp. just announced that its upcoming shooter game XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 now has a free playable demo that’s available on Steam for a limited time. Specifically, the demo is playable only for this weekend.
In case you’re unfamiliar, XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 is a twin-stick sinlgeplayer shooter that features nonscrolling single-screen battle gameplay, complete with varied tower construction features and 3D graphics.
Its premise is described as:
“Players must take on the role of planetary reconnaissance soldier in a terraformed planet society during a violent and destructive alien space-pirate raid. In short, the soldier who does not cover the screen with a barrage of missiles, lasers, barriers and bots will be destroyed by the enemy!”
What makes it unique from other twin-stick shooters is the fact that it has a customizable weapons system. With this, players can tweak their character to their liking. Plus, the characters, guns, and turrets in the game can be upgraded.

For those who want to give it a try, the limited time XALADIA demo will be available from August 12, 2023 to August 14, 2023 on the Steam store page.
XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 will be released on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Fall 2023. This will also be the first self-published release from Acquire, the developers of Tenchu, Way of the Samurai, AKIBA’S TRIP, and the Octopath Traveler series.
