Final Fantasy XIV unveils highly anticipated Final Fantasy XVI collab
Yes, that's a Torgal mount and puppy Torgal minion!
After several teasers, Square Enix finally released the official trailer for the Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI collab!
This trailer was revealed during the recent Fan Fest Europe for FF14, and its highlight is a huge battle between an FF14 player and Ifrit — Clive’s Eikon. As the fight rages on, Clive himself also appears, seemingly to help the player against the fearsome Eikon of Fire.
Aside from the battle, the trailer also teases more of what to expect in this collab. Check it out here:
While the Ifrit fight is no doubt the scene-stealer, fans will also be happy to know that the ever-lovable Torgal will also appear in the game, both as a mount in his adult form and as a minion in his adorable puppy self.
On top of Torgal, the collab will also bring Clive’s signature outfits for players to wear. Though for now, that’s the extent of what Square Enix shared regarding the collab.
The Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI collab will be released soon in Patch 6.5x. For now, there’s no word yet on an official release date, though we shouldn’t have to wait too long before it goes live.
