Sonic Frontiers ‘The Final Horizon’ update is now available
The Final Horizon is Sonic Frontiers' third and final free DLC update.
After sharing details about the DLC a few weeks ago, the Sonic Frontiers “The Final Horizon” DLC is finally available in the game for all platforms.
In case you missed its reveal, The Final Horizon is the third massive content update for Sonic Frontiers. Much like the other content updates, this one is free for all players of the game.
This DLC adds a wealth of new content, including a new story, new playable characters, and more. To give you a better idea of what the DLC has, check out the launch trailer here:
The DLC’s story is described as:
“A new choice leads to a new adventure!
Before the final battle on Ouranos Island, Sage proposes an alternative course of action: Sonic will attempt to convert Cyber Corruption into a new form of power, while Amy, Knuckles, and Tails search for the Chaos Emeralds on his behalf.
Faced with a scenario that would put both himself and his friends in danger, Sonic must decide…”
Meanwhile, here are some of the DLC’s other highlights:
- Amy, Knuckles, and Tails Appear as Playable Characters: The DLC adds these three fan-favorites as playable characters on Ouranos Island. Players can use these characters to complete powered-up Challenges and Missions, as well as unlock a brand-new ending to the game.
- New Ordeals for Sonic and His Friends: Sonic is tasked to complete a series of Mission-style combat trials in this new DLC.
- The nine Cyber Space Stages of Ouranos Island have been powered up: Various Challenges and Missions have been added to the nine Cyber Space Stages scattered across Ouranos Island with this free update.
- Bug fixes and balance adjustments have also been made.
Sonic Frontiers is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
