Persona 5 Tactica: What to expect from the ‘Repaint You Heart Challenge Pack’ DLC
Here's what you need to know about Persona 5 Tactica's DLC ahead of the game's release this week.
With the game’s release just a few days away, SEGA and Atlus shared new details for the Persona 5 Tactica DLC “Repaint Your Heart Challenge Pack.”
This DLC pack is part of the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition, and it accessed by purchasing the Persona 5 Tactica: DLC All in One.
A New Underground World Called “The Streets” and the fearsome “Guernica”
As previously mentioned, this DLC adds new story content featuring Joker, Kasumi, and Akechi as they go head-to-head with the artist Guernica (named after Pablo Picasso’s masterpiece) who is wreaking havoc on innocents.
Atlus describes the DLC’s premise as:
“Guernica is an elusive street artist who treats the whole city as her canvas. She creates massive works of art overnight before slipping away without a trace.
Her antics begin to catch the public’s attention as mysterious graffiti take over every face of the city.
Among them is the figure of Arsène whose identity should only be known to Persona users…
A message from Kasumi Yoshizawa compels Joker to head to the scene. Upon arriving, he encounters Goro Akechi, who has been assigned to investigate the scene. They engage in dialogue about the cryptic murals, but their conversation is cut short by a faint whisper: “I need your power… to change the heart!”
The mural on the wall begins to glow, drawing the three of them into it. When they awaken, the trio find themselves in a dimly lit alley covered in street art and surrounded by thugs armed with paint guns.
After fending off their assailants, they are confronted with the sight of terrified costumed residents fleeing for their lives. The one behind the chaos is none other than Guernica, the notorious street artist who had been causing a commotion in the real world.”

Guernica is a key character in the DLC, and she’s a world-renowned artist who was a voice for the underprivileged in the real world. Though she has now lot her wits.
Then there’s Luca, a little girl wearing a mouse costume who is making a stand against Guernica. She seeks the help of Joker and the Phantom Thieves to face the crazed artist.
This DLC also features a new mechanic — paint. With this, damaging enemies will coat the area in your team’s color. Other enemies that stand in the painted area won’t be able to guard and will be more susceptible to getting knocked down.
Of course, the challenge here is that this also applies to Phantom Thieves, meaning extra care must be put in to avoid areas painted with the enemy’s color.
Unlock Characters and Challenge Stages Upon Finishing the DLC
By completing the DLC, players will be able to use Akechi and Kasumi as battle-exclusive units in the main story. Challenge Stages will also be unlocked. These stages feature difficult clear conditions that will limit the Personas, skills, and team members for players who want to get their skills tested.
Persona 5 Tactica will be released on November 17, 2023, for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and PC.
