Samsung Galaxy A35 and A55 price and availability in the Philippines announced

After launching the S24 lineup in January, Samsung finally unveiled the Galaxy A35 and A55, complete with their price and availability details in the Philippines.

These two phones are Samsung’s latest mid-rangers that promise to be reliable daily drivers. On top of promising cameras and processors, the key highlight of these two phones is the fact that they feature security features such as Knox Vault.

For those unfamiliar, Knox Vault protects a phone from hardware and software attacks by constructing a secure execution environment that’s isolated from the processor and memory. Thanks to this, PIN codes and passwords are protected. Plus, Knox Vault protects a device’s encryption keys — great if the phone gets stolen as a user’s data will not be compromised.

Other security features include the Auto Blocker which  can block app installations from unauthorized sources, provide app security checks, and block potentially malicious commands when the phone is connected to another device via a USB cable.

Aside from the security features, both phones also have promising specs. To start, both the A35 and A55 have 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screens, as well as large 5,000mAh batteries. Both phones also feature a similar look, though the A55 is made with a glass back. Though both are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The two phones also have a 50MP main camera and a 5MP macro shooter, though the A35 and A55 have an 8MP and 12MP ultrawide snapper, respectively. At the front meanwhile is a 13MP selfie cam for the A35 and a 32MP front shooter for the A55. They are also powered each by an Exynos 1380 and an Exynos 1480, respectively.

What both devices do share is the fact that they’ll get four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G will be priced at PHP 24,990 for the 8GB+256GB model. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A35 5G will have a price in the Philippines of PHP 20,990 for the 8GB+256GB model. Both phones will be available beginning March 18, 2024.

Each purchase will also come with a Free Buds FE worth PHP 5,490 and a Free Travel Adapter worth PHP 1,190 from March 18 to April 18, 2024.
