Warner Bros. Discovery and DC celebrated Superman Day 2025 on April 18 with a special online campaign, along with brand-new merch.
Wondering why April 18 is Superman Day? Well, that’s because Superman made his debut on April 18, 1938, in the iconic comic book Action Comics #1. Since that fateful day, Superman has risen to become one of the most beloved characters around the world.
To celebrate the iconic hero, DC invited fans around the world to celebrate Superman Day on April 18, 2025, by wearing the S-Shield symbol and sharing their stories about Superman. Specifically, the official DC and Superman social media pages encouraged fans around the world to share their Superman story.

To go along with this campaign, DC announced that a variety of themed products will be released in SEA, Taiwan, and Hong Kong in the coming months. These include apparel, accessories, electronics, and more. There will even be a range of Superman toys and figurines that will be released by Spin Master.
Other merch pieces include Superman-inspired footwear, bags by Carlo Rino, sports accessories by Maxx Sports in Malaysia, fashion apparel by Jaspal in Thailand, and many more.
Finally, there’s the upcoming live-action Superman movie that will be released this July. Aside from being helmed by James Gunn, this new movie is exciting as it promises a fresh take on the iconic hero, not to mention that it’s the first Superman solo live-action film in over a decade.
James Gunn’s Superman will be released in theaters and IMAX in the Philippines on July 9, 2025.
