Elden Ring Nightreign: How to Unlock Outfits

Nightreign's outfits are quite eye-catching, but also expensive (at least, in terms of in-game currency).

If you ever get tired of the default looks of the game’s classes, here’s a quick guide on how to unlock outfits in Elden Ring Nightreign.

In case you’re wondering, yes, each character has multiple outfits to choose from, with some of them even being straight out of FromSoftware’s other titles like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. As such, getting these outfits should be a priority for many long-time Souls fans.

Thankfully, unlocking them is fairly straightforward, though it’s not easy. To unlock the outfits in Elden Ring Nightreign, you simply need to defeat two Nightlords, meaning you have to play through two Expeditions to completion.

The first Expedition is the Tricephalos, and you have to beat this anyway to unlock the rest of the Expeditions. While tough at first, the Nightlord here should go down after some tries.

After beating this Expedition, your next task is to defeat another Nightlord. This is a tougher ask as all the other Nightlords after the first one are incredibly difficult. Still, with the right strategies and know-how (and some luck), you should be able to beat the second one.

If you ask us, we recommend trying out the second Expedition, the Gaping Jaw. This is a difficult boss, but it’s definitely doable, especially if you get lucky and grab a Poison weapon (a Poison bow is particularly effective if you get lucky as Ironeye).

After beating two Expeditions, simply head over to the east wing of the Roundtable Hold. There, you’ll see a mirror and a closet, indicating the changing area. Here, you can purchase various outfits for the eight classes, with each character having two extra outfits to choose from.

Once you unlock the ability to change outfits, that doesn’t mean you can change ASAP. That’s because you need to purchase them with Murk (in-game credits). As you can get around 1,500 to 2,000 Murk per run (more if it’s a successful run), you’ll need to play a lot to unlock outfits. This is because outfits are expensive, with each having a five-figure Murk price tag.

With that, you should now have the opportunity to dress up the characters in different garb. Hopefully, we get more free outfit options soon as the current selection isn’t that big.

Elden Ring Nightreign is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
