Following its reveal at Opening Night Live last year, 2K and Hangar 13 have now confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will launch this August on PC and consoles.
The Old Country is the latest mainline entry in the series after Mafia 3, which was released back in 2016. As such, this is the first major installment in the Mafia franchise in nearly a decade (not counting Mafia: Definitive Edition which was released in 2020).
After its announcement back in August, 2K and Hangar 13 finally announced that The Old Country will be released on August 8 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GeForce Now.
Along with the game’s release date, a new gameplay trailer was also shared on the official Mafia YouTube channel. While the trailer already gives fans a good idea of what to expect gameplay-wise, Hangar 13 also shared the new ‘Breaking Omerta’ Developer Insights video that dives deeper into the game’s combat and systems.

The Old Country will come in two editions: Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. These include:
- The Standard Edition includes the full base game and will be available for USD 49.99.
- The Deluxe Edition will be available for USD 59.99 and will include the Padrino Pack, featuring “Lupara Speciale” Shotgun, “Vendetti Speciale” Pistol, “Immortale” Charm, “Padrino” Outfit, “Stiletto Speciale” Knife, “Eckhart Speciale” Limousine and “Cosimo” Horse and Accessories. Additionally, it offers the Gatto Nero Pack with the “Bodeo Nero” Pistol, “Velocità” Charm, “Gatto Nero” Racing Outfit and “Carozella Nero” Race Car, plus digital bonus materials including the Original Score and Digital Artbook full of concept art and developer notes.
Mafia: The Old Country will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 8, 2025.
