The 2025 Star Rail LIVE Concert: A Memorable Spectacle

The 2025 Star Rail LIVE Concert was mindblowing–even via livestream!

Thanks to our friends at HoYoverse, we caught a special live streaming of the audio-visual treat that is the 2025 Star Rail LIVE Concert. Coming off last year’s show, expectations were high as the good ol’ Astral Express had visited a couple more worlds since the popular mobile title came out. While Herta Space Station, Jarilo VI’s Belobog and a good part of the Xianzhou Luofu had to take backseat for the most part, they weren’t forgotten. As such, the bright lights and big city vibes of Penacony and Greek mythology-inspired Amphoreus took center stage.

From the opening sequence emulating your very own loading screens, to the culmination featuring a nice little “recap,” everything was–as they say, absolute cinema.

Check out the full stream here.

I had to rewatch last year’s Star Rail LIVE performances to fully grasp just how much they decided to level things up this year. Our venue–which was Whitespace Manila, allowed the show itself to subvert our expectations as our eyes were glued to the performances the entire time. While it is, in essence. a concert, the music alone wasn’t the star of the show. From the stage design, to the cinematography, everything was on point–down to the stream-exclusive special effects that only those absent from the venue would be able to witness.

Basically, what you’re getting is a nice recap of the story so far, and the places you’ve been. Everything opens with Madam Herta opening the show–and got the conductor “fired.” What follows is two hours of tasteful orchestra pieces, soulful rock ballads, upbeat pop tracks, and some groovy tunes. Reol’s No Dazzle, No Break set the tone and gave all the Rappa stans a bit of fan service. We got the classical medley of Kafka’s “Dramatic Irony.” Later on, Chevy performed Robin’s classic, “Hope is The Thing With Feathers,” much to everyone’s enthusiasm.

And yes, Jonathan Steingard sang Wildfire.

If you’re a hardcore fan of every single Honkai: Star Rail track–or a casual, like myself, who has White Night on repeat, you’ll definitely get a kick out of this concert. Anyone who’d go in blind might feel a tad confused seeing all these colorful characters on-screen and onstage. There’s a bit of context required in some parts. That being said, if you enjoy good music, then you’ll still be able to appreciate it.

Oh, and right when everyone least expected it, HoYo dropped a couple of sweet teasers.
