SNK announced that Andy Bogard is going to be released on June 24 as the first DLC fighter in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
City of the Wolves was released back in April, and it was a big launch for fighting game fans. After all, this is the first Fatal Fury game in 26 years, so it’s definitely a title that has been highly anticipated by fighting game veterans.
The game got positive reviews from critics and fans alike. Thus, it’s no surprise to see that the game will continue to get more content in the form of DLC characters. First up is Andy Bogard, who will be released as the game’s first DLC character on June 24.
Ahead of his launch, SNK released an Andy Bogard trailer, which you can watch here:
Andy is voiced by Kieran Regan in English and Hiroshi Okamoto in Japanese. Meanwhile, his backstory is described as:
Human weapon. Master of Shiranui-style melee combat (taijutsu). This legendary South Town shinobi currently works with Mai in her clan’s village, where he helps train its youth. Now that his pupil Hokutomaru has come into his own, Andy longs for the day when the two can square up in a real bout—not only as master and apprentice, but also man-to-man. At the same time, he knows that a separate battle yet remains: A contest he has always yearned for. A man he was born to fight.
Aside from having Andy as part of the roster, players can also look forward to Andy’s story in both Episodes of South Town (EOST) Mode and Arcade Mode. In EOST, Andy will face off against a wide array of challengers. As for the Arcade Mode, players will be able to see Andy’s sibling rivalry story as he comes head-to-head with Terry.
Players with the Fatal Fury: CotW Special Edition will get access to Andy Bogard as part of the included Season Pass 1. Pass holders will also get access to future character releases, including Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun-Li, plus fellow South Town staples Joe Higashi and Mr. Big.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
