Ahead of Summer Game Fest, PlayStation held its State of Play June 2025 showcase earlier today, featuring a wide array of new reveals and trailers for lots of highly anticipated titles.
As expected, this showcase had lots of exciting new announcements, as well as new trailers for previously revealed games. For those who missed it, here’s a rundown of the biggest reveals and trailers from the event:
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls
First up, we have MARVEL Tōkon, an intriguing new fighting game from Arc System Works that will feature 4v4 tag team battles, complete with a roster of iconic Marvel heroes.
007 First Light
Next, we have the official reveal trailer for 007 First Light from IO Interactive. It has been years since this 007 project was announced, so it’s great that we finally got to see the game in action.
Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles
It has been rumored for quite a while now, but finally, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, a remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics that will launch on September 30, 2025.
SILENT HILL f
Then, there’s the release date trailer for Silent Hill f. While the trailer earlier this year did not reveal any launch details, fans will be happy to know that this upcoming Silent Hill game will be released on September 25, 2025.
Nioh 3
It has been five years since Nioh 2, so it’s nice to see that Team Ninja is back with another series entry. Nioh 3 got an official announcement trailer at the State of Play June 2025 event, and it is set to launch in early 2026.
Pragmata – First Contact
Another game coming out in 2026 is Pragmata – First Contact, a sci-fi action-adventure title from Cacpom. The game’s new trailer shows off more of the game’s mysterious world.
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater
Another game that got a new trailer is Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater. This new gameplay trailer shows off various iconic moments from Snake Eater, including the epic Shagohod fight.
Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement
Following the first Bloodstained game’s launch in 2019, ArtPlay finally revealed Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement. This sequel promises to deliver more engaging action for MetroidVania fans.
Ghost of Yōtei
While it didn’t get a big new trailer, fans will be happy to know that Ghost of Yōtei is getting its own State of Play in July 2025. This upcoming stream will no doubt feature a deep dive into the game’s story and systems.
Project Defiant
Project Defiant is a surprise announcement as it’s the first-ever fight stick custom designed by PlayStation. This fight stick uses PlayStation Link technology for ultra low-latency even while being wireless.
