After sharing details about the new game mode, SEGA has now released a special pre-launch interview for Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, featuring the game’s main cast.
To be exact, this interview features Takaya Kuroda, Hidenari Ugaki, Kazuhiro Nakaya, and Hitoshi Ozawa—the voices behind Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Akira Nishikiyama, and Daisaku Kuze, respectively.
Given that these are four primary characters in Yakuza 0, the interview is a must-watch for any and every Yakuza fan. After all, not only is it always nice to hear from Kuroda, Ugaki, and Nakaya, but Kuze VA Ozawa is also an icon among fans.

As it has been a decade since the game’s original launch in Japan, this interview is a trip down memory lane for the four cast members. In the interview they shared their thoughts on returning to Yakuza 0 after ten years.
For those who missed it, the Director’s Cut is a special re-release of Yakuza 0, easily one of the most popular games in the franchise. It is also arguably the game that helped popularize the series internationally.
Aside from featuring new cutscenes, this game will also come with a special game mode called Red Light Raid. This mode can be played solo, though it’s designed to be a fun multiplayer experience for Yakuza fans.
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is coming to the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.
