Garena launches the Free Fire x Squid Game collab

Free Fire's latest collab is out now, featuring new map additions and in-game goodies.

After its initial reveal, Garena has now launched the Free Fire x Squid Game collab, featuring new challenges and various items.

For many players, the highlight of this collab is the addition of several challenges that players can choose to do in-game. To be exact, there are four new Squid Game-inspired survival challenges available in the game’s Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes. These include:

  • Red Light, Green Light: This game requires players to defend themselves against other players while looting. As in the series,  players who are caught moving by Young-hee will be frozen in place. Meanwhile, those who manage to pass through her can get rare and valuable in-match rewards.
  • Glass Bridge: Players must attempt to cross a series of clear glass panels, and one wrong step will lead to an instant HP dip.
  • Dalgona Challenge: During matches, players can hunt down dalgona stands. Players can then “lick” dalgona cookies they collect for a sweet surprise.
  • Secret Symbols: Players are also encouraged to look out for Squid Game symbol across the map, as these are tickets to bonus loot.

Along with the new challenges, players can also enjoy  these Squid Game-inspired goodies:

  • The Doll (Female outfit): Players can step into the arena in The Doll’s bright orange dress.
  • Classic voicelines: By activating haunting lines like “The Mugungha Flower has bloomed,” players can relive the tension of ‘Red Light, Green Light.’
  • Ribbon Loot Box: Upon elimination, players will reappear on the battlefield as striking black-and-pink boxes.
  • Squid Game Banner: Fans can further show off their Squid Game spirit with this themed profile accessory.

There are also various additions, including Pink Guards’ Costumes, Player 456’s costume, a Red Light, Green Light Gloo Wall Skin, and the Cash Bank Backpack.

The Free Fire x Squid Game collab is available now for a limited time. For those who aren’t playing Free Fire yet and want to give it a try thanks to the new crossover event, the game can be downloaded on both the App Store and Google Play.
