Level Infinite has just announced the new Summer Season update for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, featuring new characters, costumes, and more.
While it’s not a big collab, the update is still an exciting one as it adds two new SSR characters, as well as costumes and challenges. Plus, fans will be treated to in-person events throughout the next two months.
Story-wise, the Summer Season introduces “BOOM! THE GHOST!,” a mysterious new story event where players investigate an abandoned cruise liner on the Surface. This soon turns into a supernatural mystery where players must investigate some strange phenomena.
As for the new characters, the two new SSRs are:
- SSR Dorothy: Serendipity – Drawn to the mysterious cruise ship by a faint silhouette in a photo, Dorothy embarks on a mission to find her precious wings, Pinne.
- SSR Elegg: Boom and Shock- Intrigued by an isolated, powered ship, Elegg sets out to sea with a mission to unearth the secrets behind this enigmatic vessel.
Also part of the update are new Summer Swimsuit costumes, with four popular swimsuit outfits from past events returning. Plus, players can expect a new boss challenge and a mini-game.
As mentioned above, the NIKKE Summer Season will also feature a series of global events, including:
- Orchestral Concert: Melodies of Victory, NIKKE’s first-ever orchestral concert will be available on NIKKE’s YouTube channel globally for a limited time. While it will be limited, viewing it will be free of charge.
- Doro Family Summer Tour: From July 18 to 25, the Doro Family will go on tour, with stops in New York City, Osaka, Seoul, Taipei and Bangkok. The tour begins in New York with a giant 10-meter-tall Doro Cruise Ship appearing on the Hudson River on July 18 and 19. This will be followed by the following events in Thailand:
- Doro Family Summer Tour Mission #1: This event is happening at Siam Square Walking Street beginning July 13. There, fans can take a photo with the troops as part of an event quest. Completing this quest by July 20 will net participants cool rewards.
- Doro Family Summer Tour Thailand: This tour stop is happening at the Samyan Mitr Town Hall, 5th Floor, and there, fans can see the Giant Doro Family display and participate in Summer-themed activities.
- Anime NYC: NIKKE will attend Anime NYC from August 21 to 24 at the Javits Center in New York, with a dedicated booth featuring a selection of merch.
